Since January 2020, Karl Weiss Zeesen Ingenieurtief- und Rohrleitungsbau GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of Ludwig Pfeiffer Leipzig and thus belongs to the Ludwig Pfeiffer Group.

By expanding the group of companies, we are not only welcoming around 50 new colleagues, but we also gain valuable know-how in the field of trenchless replacement of pressure pipelines. In addition, we are representing as a strong partner for the Berlin-Brandenburg region together with the colleagues from the Berlin office of Ludwig Pfeiffer.

The company was founded in 1992 by the managing director Siegfried Schwert of the former Karl Weiss GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in the former western part of the city of Berlin in Zeesen.

Karl Weiss Zeesen will be responsible for three main business areas:

  1. Replacement and new construction of potable water supply lines by trenchless construction methods
  2. Replacement of potable water pipes with a nominal width range of up to DN 200 in the press drawing process
  3. Works in the W1 area and sewer construction

Intensifying market in Magdeburg

Since January 1st 2018, the company Schottstädt & Partner Tiefbau GmbH located in Magdeburg belongs to the Ludwig Pfeiffer Group and is a 100% daughter company of Ludwig Pfeiffer Leipzig. The company, founded in 1992 as a business start-up, has developed into a medium-sized civil engineering company. It is specialized in the construction of cable and pipelines. In connection to the field of road construction and infrastructures, it offers complete closures for building sites, from the telephone connection to the sewer, from a single source. The company particularly supports municipal utilities in the construction of all pipeline systems and enjoys a good reputation both in terms of expertise, performance and reliability, both regionally and beyond. Company founder Bernd-Uwe Schottstädt plans to retire and will remain CEO at least until the end of the year, alongside Frank Menzel and Axel Philipp.

With the incorporation into our company, we strengthen our company in the Magdeburger region with over 90 coworkers and extend at the same time our range of services around the business division cable construction. In particular, the special civil engineering, cabling and installation services for the production of telecommunications low and medium voltage lines up to 30kV have to be emphasized.
