Support for young civil engineers
Our company has always been open to young engineers in order to give the opportunity to gain necessary first experiences, which is the most difficult step for every engineer. In 2016, we made another step forward.
For the past few years, Ludwig Pfeiffer has maintained a close cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade (Serbia). Pfeiffer Belgrade managed this contact in cooperation with the Department for Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. In November 2016, Pfeiffer Belgrade has been invited to support the 14th Day of Students of the department. This is an annual meeting where older students exchange experiences with young students, listen to presentations of student’s internships worldwide and construction companies are presenting themselves. At the end of the meeting, there is a promotion of the new masters of civil engineering and a cocktail party. It was a great honor (having in mind that a many of Pfeiffer Belgrade’s engineers graduated from this faculty) and great opportunity to present our company to the students. They had the unique opportunity to listen to reports about different construction sites worldwide. Furthermore, we presented how one day on earth for Pfeiffer looks like: projects worldwide through different time zones, starting at the Far East with the Philippines and ending west with a project in Nicaragua. After the presentation, our employees answered questions about job, internship opportunities and how is it to work in different countries.
We are proud to mention that within the last three years, Ludwig Pfeiffer offered the opportunity to six graduates from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade. Today, some of them are site engineers working on projects abroad and have already gained significant experience.
